Heather's artwork features bold, unapologetically bright colors and thick, defined textures, invoking movement and cheerfulness. “Whenever I paint, I lose myself in the process. Everything disappears almost as if my hands and mind are disconnected from each other until the piece is finished. I am a self-taught artist, and my style has developed through years of trial and error, honing my technique and letting color, texture, and their interplay with subjects lead me to a place where I am happy with the work I create."

New Orleans Gallery owners and artists recognized Heather's artistic skill and innate talent almost immediately. Royal Street gallery owners offered her representation. The passion and joy in Heather's art are undeniable; it is difficult to be sad in the presence of her work. “I love every color, and I want to make sure that every color is represented in every single painting I create. I have never withheld color from any painting,” Heather says.  It is this, her seemingly innate ability to translate unfiltered happiness onto her canvas, that resonates with her buyers.
